Summary

Help maintain and manage servers in virtual environments. Optimize maintenance and deployments to ensure integrated functioning. Integrate systems, networks, and servers to achieve overall aims. Troubleshoot and debug system issues to increase performance , stability and security of data.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing and monitoring of all installed systems and infrastructure
• Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system
management tools
• Assist in maintaining security, backup, and redundancy strategies and systems
• Participate in the design of information and operational support systems
• Provide 2nd and 3rd level support as needed
• Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
• Partner, and work with in-house teams and third-party software vendors and contractors to provide
technical direction and architecture to design for system and software integrations.
• To prepare high and low-level design documents for security and further technical review
• Create project and system architecture standards, deliverables, and best practices
• Assess new computing technologies and relevant industry directions to determine potential value
for the enterprise
• Collaborate with various technical teams to develop, expand, and refine comprehensive
architecture models that drive enterprise solutions while minimizing siloed solutions
• Install and configure server/PC hardware and software.
• Monitor system performance and provide timely responses to system outages.
• Perform regular system maintenance tasks.
• Maintain user accounts and access rights.
• Manage user PCs and ensure they are up to date with the latest security patches including
managing active directory of the company.
• Recommend system improvements to enhance performance and reliability.
• Provide user training and support.
• Document technical issues and resolutions.

Supervisory Responsibilities

In accordance with applicable policies/procedures and Federal/State laws, may perform the following supervisory responsibilities: Interviewing, hiring, orienting, coaching and developing employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising, managing and rewarding performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Work Environment:

The office is clean, orderly, properly lighted, and ventilated. Noise levels are considered low to moderate. Field conditions vary. Exposed to various raw materials, including allergens (i.e., milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, tree nut, peanuts, wheat, soy).

Minimum Qualifications

Knowledge

Bachelor’s degree in IT/Engineering/or similar and 3-5 years minimum experience in a related position

Skills/ Abilities

• Proven working experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows PC and Server
based environments.
• Virtualization experience with VMWare and Hyper-V
• Active Directory knowledge
• Experience with monitoring systems
• Microsoft 365 experience is a must
• Knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies and protocols, especially enterprise Wi-Fi Management.
• Desktop Support: Proficient in configuring, installing, and troubleshooting PCs and laptops.
• Experience in performing system maintenance tasks, such as patching and security updates and
managing ESXI VMware and Hyper-V.
• Microsoft 365: Experience in setting up, managing, and troubleshooting Microsoft 365
applications.
• Experience in developing and implementing backup strategies to ensure data integrity.
• Well-versed in security policies and procedures related to data protection.
• Understanding of IT infrastructure, operating systems, and networks common protocols such as SSL,
HTTP, DNS, SMTP.
• Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot hardware and software

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to bend, crawl, sit, talk, move about, hear and speak. May be required to work in restricted spaces and/or under difficult lighting and access conditions.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10-50 pounds and be able to use appropriate support equipment to lift and move greater amounts. Must be able to stand for approximately 8 hours.

Must be able to work independently, in a team environment, and drive projects to solutions.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is required to use properly use such safety equipment as is appropriate to the work to prevent injury to self or others.

Additional Information

The Salary Range for this position at Lief Labs is $98,000.00-$110,000.00 (USD). Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to market demands, experience, training, skills, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, wellness benefits, education reimbursement program, and PTO. This position is bonus eligible.
