Technical Trainer

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Technical Trainer to join our team, specializing in electric vehicle (EV) service and diagnostics. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product design, development, and customer engagement, as well as a proven ability to create effective training programs. This role will focus on educating and empowering both internal service technicians and external customers with in-depth technical knowledge of EV systems.
The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of EV technical functions, including diagnostics and repair processes, and will collaborate closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to create relevant training tools. You’ll be responsible for developing and delivering both in-person and remote training sessions, as well as maintaining a comprehensive training program that supports the ongoing growth of service and technical teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct hands-on technical training sessions for Orange EV Service Technicians and customer service teams.
- Design and develop structured training programs, including in-person labs, classroom instruction, and technical demonstrations.
- Create and deliver remote training courses to enhance team knowledge.
- Write, produce, and update video-based training courses.
- Provide ongoing technical support for Orange EV Field Service and Customer Technicians.
- Collaborate with the Service Support Team and Engineering Department to continuously update and improve training materials.
- Maintain and manage a detailed database of trainees and training progress.
- Partner with corporate collaborators to design and implement technician training programs.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of automotive or related technical experience.
- Previous training or instructional experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent public speaking and communication skills.
- Proficient problem-solving abilities with a focus on troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience in technical writing is an advantage.
- Familiarity with computer/software setup and configuration is a plus.
