AppHarvest is building some of America's largest greenhouses, combining conventional agriculture techniques with today’s technology to grow non-GMO, chemical-free produce. Our first greenhouse in Morehead, Kentucky, will span 60 acres. The facility will use 90% less water than traditional open-field agriculture. A technological marvel, our closed-loop water system utilizes a 10-acre rainwater retention pond and creates zero agricultural runoff. And we're doing it all while creating nearly 300 jobs and helping Appalachia build a more resilient economy. Our central location here is within a day’s drive of 70% of the U.S. population, also allowing us to reduce the amount of fuel consumed in transportation by 80%.

Arable is a developer of an integrated system for agriculture that helps digitize and optimize decisions from seed breeding to food production. The platform measures everything that matters to the crop, from the weather to the soil, to the plant itself by the use of a unique set of spectral and thermal sensors. This enables Arable to observe a crop’s development through the season and determine the onset of stress due to a lack of water or nutrients. Its integrated hardware, agronomic modeling, and software suite is enabling farmers, agronomists, researchers, processors, and food companies to understand the crop system at the plant, field, and region level, which helps to reduce risk, improve productivity, and optimize for sustainability.
