Position Overview:

Arable is hiring for a new position of Head of Customer Success, who will play a crucial role in driving the effectiveness and efficiency of our Customer Success/Support, with an overarching goal of driving client retention and expansion. This position will report directly to the Chief Business Officer (CBO). It will be their trusted partner in defining client success/ support objectives, strategy, and tactics and in implementing sales and service processes, procedures, and systems that scale. Expect 20-30% travel for client and team meetings.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies, processes, and procedures to enhance customer satisfaction, retention, and overall success.
  • Bring focus and clarity to the team and all Arable employees by communicating openly and clearly the priorities, plans, and activities of the teams s/he manages.
  • Build and lead a high-performing customer success/support team and sales operations team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement while promoting an environment where employees feel safe to express themselves.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align customer success/support and sales business operations initiatives with product development, engineering and marketing efforts.
  • Implement and manage sales operations systems, policies and processes to enhance productivity and scalability.
  • Analyze sales data and metrics to provide actionable insights for informed decision-making.
  • Leverage deep agronomic knowledge to understand customer needs, provide relevant insights, and contribute to the development of customer-focused solutions.
  • Collaborate with product management and development teams to ensure that Arable's solutions align with the evolving needs of the agriculture industry.
  • Work closely with executive leadership to develop and execute strategic plans for customer success/support and sales operations while partnering directly with the CBO on all initiatives in the department.
  • Provide input on market trends, competitive landscapes, and opportunities for growth
  • Drive the effectiveness and efficiency of our customer success operations, focusing on client retention and expansions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, Business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within the ag-tech industry, with a focus on building strong vibrant customer success/support and sales business operations teams who have both a strong sense of urgency and a sense of integrity in all they do.
  • Strong background in agronomy, with the ability to translate technical knowledge into customer-centric solutions.
  • Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and planning skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel 20-30% of the time.
