Position:

·  One full-time onsite role based in North West region of Singapore

·  Candidates must be eligible to work in Singapore without the need for a company-sponsored work permit

Experiences:

•    Diploma or Higher NITEC in Biotechnology, Life Science, or other relevant scientific disciplines.

•    Experience in culturing suspension and adherent cells is required.

•    Able to independently execute laboratory experiments and tasks.

•    Experience with molecular biology techniques, including PCR, molecular cloning, immunofluorescence, Western blots, and other protein assays.

Job responsibilities:

•      Maintain cells in culture, including passaging, routine media exchange, harvest, and sampling.

•      Prepare buffer solutions and culture media.

•      Monitor and upkeep laboratory consumables.

•      Perform calibration, cleaning, and maintenance of lab equipment.

•      Cleaning and autoclaving glassware etc.

•      Maintain good housekeeping, stock keeping and various registry data input and updates in the laboratory.

•      Research and development of the manufacturing of cell products, including seed train, pilot, and large-scale productions of biomass.

•      Plan and carry out independent experiments to support inoculum generation, process optimization and characterization.

•      Operate lab scale and mid-scale bioreactor systems for suspension/adherent cell culture and feeding strategies.

•      Support troubleshooting for the manufacturing team and investigations for upstream process issues.

•      Support technology transfer of bioprocesses by coordinating resources and scheduling.

•      Author documents such as SOPs, protocols and batch records.

•      Liaise with vendors and third-party testing labs for procurement of materials or tests in a

•     Assist in other R&D assignments as advised by the management, including lab setup and other lab management tasks as necessary.

•      Communicate results and data in a timely and effective manner.

•      Follow health and safety procedures and implement paperwork as required.
