Cargomatic is seeking a Billing Manager to oversee all aspects of our billing operations. The ideal candidate will ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements while leading a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and excellent communication skills to collaborate across departments, enhancing the overall billing function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Management:
    • Lead and manage the billing department, fostering high performance and employee engagement.
    • Mentor and train billing staff, promoting continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Billing Operations:
    • Oversee the preparation and issuance of accurate and timely invoices.
    • Ensure all billing activities comply with contract terms, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
    • Develop and maintain robust billing systems, focusing on automation and integration with financial systems using EDI/RPA between Cargomatic and its subsidiaries and customers.
  • Financial Management:
    • Monitor billing metrics and KPIs to identify trends and drive improvements.
    • Collaborate with finance to reconcile billing with accounts receivable, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting.
    • Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting for billing operations.
    • Work closely with customer service and sales teams to promptly resolve billing disputes and inquiries.
    • Maintain strong relationships with key clients, addressing billing concerns and ensuring high satisfaction.
  • Project Management:
    • Lead or participate in cross-functional projects to improve billing processes, systems, and technologies.
    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, recommending and implementing innovative billing solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in billing, finance, or accounting, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
  • Experience in the logistics, transportation, or a related industry is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of billing systems, financial software, and database management.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Experience with intercompany transactions is highly desirable.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Spanish proficiency is required.

The expected salary range for this role is $120,000 to $135,000. The actual base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and other factors permitted by law. Decisions will be made on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
