Exacto, LLC, a full-service innovation partner in the agricultural, turf, and ornamental horticulture markets, is seeking to hire a Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) to its executive leadership team. The CCO will lead the evolution and execution of Exacto’s full commercialization strategy and drive revenue expansion through the development of commercial partnerships and markets. The ideal candidate will be responsible for revenue growth through our expanding commercial and marketing teams.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Drive profitable growth through the development of Exacto’s commercialization and marketing teams, strategies, partnerships, and markets.
  • Sales and marketing department expansion, leadership, development, coaching.
  • Oversee all facets of the relationships with large, key customer accounts.
  • Lead commercial strategic planning as part of overall company strategic plan.
  • Drive go-forward strategic plan execution, orchestrating commercial and marketing priorities and milestone achievement.
  • Develop and oversee new business and strategic partnerships in the core, agricultural tank mix adjuvant markets and in key adjacent verticals.
  • Align product development strategies including prioritization with the Director of Research, Development, and Innovation (RDI) and Director, Product Management.
  • Negotiate large strategic contracts and successfully deliver win/win agreements.
  • Manage risk regarding customer mix & market diversification.
  • Able to travel ~30% on average to support customers and prospects and maintain industry awareness.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related sciences field with experience leading sales. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience managing a highly effective distributed sales force in agricultural markets.
  • 10+ years of experience owning revenue outcomes with a demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding revenue and margin growth objectives.
  • Agriculture crop protection and / or crop health branded and/or private label experience at the distribution-retail level is required.
  • Record of accomplishment of success working with senior executive level clients.
  • Proven record leading commercial growth in domestic markets.
  • Knowledge of agriculture and sustainable industry and an understanding of complex business environments and technical demands of specialty chemical and biological sales.
  • Experience with M&A, integrations, and change management.
  • Experience overseeing sales, business development, and marketing teams.
  • Successful track record with the Ag Power 8 distributors in North America.
  • Relevant experience in sales, business development, & other corporate development functions and processes.

This position can be remote with regular visits to headquarters expected.
