The Sales Manager with a hunter focus will be responsible for driving new business development, expanding the company’s client base and generating new revenue streams within the consumer product, hospitality and restaurant industries. This role requires a dynamic individual with an aggressive, results-oriented approach to identifying, pursuing, and closing new business opportunities. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and can develop a strategic pipeline of prospects, manage key relationships, and ensure continued growth.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Seek out and engage with new prospects, clearly communicating the value of Footprint’s innovative products and services.
  • Design and deliver sales presentations to key decision-makers, focusing on the benefits of our latest product offerings.
  • Ownership of the full sales cycle, from initial contact to closing deals, driving immediate and future revenue by converting prospects into long-term clients.
  • Represent the company at industry tradeshows and events across the USA, identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities.
  • Partner with internal teams (product development, marketing, customer service, etc.) to support customer acquisition, ensuring alignment with customer needs.
  • Serve as the customer advocate during the product development process, providing feedback and insights from the market to shape offerings.
  • Initiate new customer relationships and manage the transition from prospect to established account. Work with established clients to foster ongoing business.
  • Establish customer-led sales forecasts for new opportunities and communicate these to planning and production teams for efficient delivery scheduling.
  • Obtain and process purchase orders, and communicate delivery schedules, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Continually assess customer buying patterns, upsell relevant products, and introduce new lines to drive sales growth.
  • Proactively follow up with prospects and new customers, using a variety of communication methods (email, phone, in-person) to maintain strong relationships.
  • Own and resolve customer issues or concerns, ensuring a positive customer experience and long-term retention.
  • Stay updated on the latest product innovations and industry trends through continuous learning and training.
  • Facilitate seamless onboarding of new customers, working closely with the Sales Solutions team to ensure a smooth transition from prospect to loyal customer.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to target, prospect, and acquire high-potential customers in new markets, maintaining a pipeline of leads from initiation through close.
  • Expertise in developing strategies to generate new business, negotiating deals, and ensuring successful sales execution from start to finish.
  • Proficiency in analyzing sales data to forecast trends, track performance, and create actionable insights. Ability to use data to inform business decisions and refine strategies.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills for engaging internal stakeholders, clients, and prospects. Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly to various audiences.
  • Exceptional negotiation and influencing capabilities to influence decision-makers to close deals. Adept at handling objections and positioning products as solutions to customer needs.
  • Proven solution-oriented approach to client engagement to tailor solutions that differentiate products or services in a competitive landscape.
  • Deep understanding of market dynamics, competitor strategies, and how to position products effectively against competition to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and effectively manage competing priorities, ability to multitask
