Job Overview:

Hazel Technologies seeks to add a new Regional Logistics Manager to our Chicago team! This role will lead the assigned regional logistics function and team, establish the logistics structure required in assigned countries by developing relationships and contracts with customs agency and international trade facilitators, freight forwarders and carriers, and storage and distribution partners (collectively, third party logistics providers or 3PL partners). As well, the Regional Logistics Manager reviews contracts, establishes service payment rates for each operation, depending on the business model country by country, manages 3PL performance and operational execution by communicating plans for logistics, warehouse, transportation, and customer services activities, orders and monitors all discrete material movements, and communicates status and resolves issues with commercial team, 3PL partners and customers.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee the entire process of a shipment, from order to delivery (domestic and/or international)
• Lead, coach and develop staff to a higher level of performance and responsibility
• Analyze customer needs and designs solutions to meet customer expectations
• Develop and oversee operational procedures through regular cross-functional activities and training with Accounting, Sales, and Marketing, and Materials Management
• In coordination with planning, achieve the stocking plan through adequate and timely product replenishment
• Maintain inventory levels in country to meet forecasted demand efficiently and cost-effectively with no time delays, lost product, or incidents that prevent the customer from receiving their orders
• Develop, monitor, and reports key logistics KPIs
• Work closely with the Regulatory team to ensure the interpretation of government regulations is translated into compliant activities across the regional network
• Conduct training and audits to ensure Import compliance policies are followed
• Source and establish cold-chain distribution channels domestically and internationally
• Lead negotiations with logistics partners
• Visit warehouses or project sites to conduct audits and assist with hard inventory counts
• Influence, motivate and collaborate across all functions and create synergy and work in unison with senior management team

Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations, logistics, business administration, transportation, engineering, International Trade or related
• 10+ years of experience within Logistics and/or Supply Chain Management (healthcare, food or agriculture will be a plus)
• 5+ years of supply chain and logistics leadership in a country/regional/global level
• 5+ years’ experience managing teams
• Prior knowledge of Post-Harvest Agricultural Chemicals, health or pharmaceuticals strongly preferred
• Experience with cold-chain logistics
• Extensive knowledge in global shipping and trade compliance for regulated products; Comprehensive understanding of Customs Regulations, preferably in Latin America
• Ability to work effectively in complex Supply Chain projects; Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and in an international environment
• Lean Six Sigma Certification (preferred but not required)
• Master’s degree in Supply Chain or MBA
• Proficiency in Salesforce® or other CRM Software
• Strong Communication Skills in Spanish (native or equivalent)
• Strong team player


Salary Range: $100 - $125k
