Process engineering supervisor is responsible for operational excellence through efficient plant and process design. Manages a team responsible for the design and implementation of processes to ensure improvement in efficiency, cost, quality, and safety.

Position Responsibilities

• Develop and implement systems that optimize all phases of the production process
• Evaluate and improve on processes in manufacturing systems
• Set goals for yourself and team members, and develop KPIs to ensure project completion
• Improve production rates, efficiencies, yields, costs, and changeovers
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, OEE, KPIs, Time studies, and other manufacturing improvement and reporting systems
• Develop innovative solutions
• Improve process capability and production volume while maintaining and improving quality standards
• Evaluate engineering designs for production
• Evaluate processes for new products and existing changed products
• Collect, record, and transcribe production data
• Develop and Present results in reports
• Provide suggestions during incident investigations
• Investigate, advise, and implement corrective actions
• Work with equipment designers and manufacturing officers to develop a cost-effective and working production process
• Ensure projects are completed on time
• Research and purchase new manufacturing technology and equipment

Position Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in engineering or a related sub-field such as industrial engineering, or mechanical engineering
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work well independently and with a team
• Proficiency with computer and information technology
  1. Microsoft suite
  2. AutoCAD and Inventor
• Thorough understanding of scientific and mathematical principles
• Thorough understanding and use of basic manufacturing equipment and terminology

Ideal Candidates Will Also Have

• Specialized industry-specific training is strongly preferred
  1. Lean manufacturing and 5S
  2. Six sigma a plus
  3. Problem-Solving Methodologies
